Building Our New Capabilities
1. Janis Research 16 CNDT-SVT
is a high-efficiency SuperVariTemp (SVT) variable temperature cryostat and liquid helium (LHe) Dewar system. It is primarily used in advanced laboratory research for materials science and physics.
Key Technical Specifications
-
Operating Range: Primarily 1.5 K to 300 K.
-
Cooling Method: Uses flowing helium vapor to simultaneously cool the sample and holder, eliminating the need for thermal anchoring.
-
Efficiency: Typically adds only 0.1 L/hr to the total liquid helium evaporation rate.
-
Sample Access: Features a top-loading design for quick sample exchange.
-
Sub-4.2 K Operation: Capable of operating below 4.2 K without pumping on the main reservoir by throttling helium flow into the sample tube
2. Dilution Refrigerator DR39394
Based on an Oxford Instruments Model 1000 with a 6T magnet insert and a Precision Cryogenics Dewar and reclaim system.
Key Technical Specifications:
-
Operating Temp. Range < 2mK
-
Cooling power 250 microW at 100 mK
-
Sample access is top loaded
-
Hold Time at Base Temperature 60 Hours
3. He3 fridge
Precision Cryogenics Dewar, 6T magnet insert, CIA design.
